The Market Research and Consumer Protection Center at Baghdad University provides social and economic services to the country across scientific and research fields that effectively contribute to consumer protection. Through workshops, panel discussions, training courses and seminars and conducts scientific and laboratory studies and research to translate knowledge into action to address the problems experienced by the country in the areas of market and consumer protection within the framework of cultural and ethical values and thereby contributing to the achievement of the watchdog of the consumer culture industry in Iraqi society; Assessing Iraq’s consumer situation through public opinion surveys and studies.
The Center aims to encourage scientific research in the field of market research and consumer protection through the implementation of annual research programmes and plans and the preparation of specialized studies, and the training of cadres working in various ministries of the state through training courses organized by the Center in various fields.
